Three steps, one afternoon

  1. 1

    Tell us about the car

Year, make, model, ZIP, and whether it runs. Sixty seconds on the phone or through the form — no account, no haggling, no runaround.

  2. 2

    Get a real cash number

We quote from what the car is actually worth in Northeast Ohio — parts demand, weight, and title status. The number you hear is the number you get.

  3. 3

We tow free, you get paid

Same-day pickup across Greater Cleveland. Cash, Zelle, Venmo or Cash App is in your hand before the truck hooks up. We handle the paperwork.

Meet Ronnie

The R in RDB is Ronnie

RDB's Towing & Auto is Ronnie Butcher's shop on Fleet Avenue in Slavic Village. RDB is his initials, and it's the name on the trucks. ronniebuys.com is just the address that's easy to remember when you're standing in a driveway looking at a car that won't start.

Most "cash for cars" ads in Cleveland route to a national broker. They collect your details, sell the lead to whichever yard bids highest, and that yard re-prices the car when the truck shows up. That's where the curb haggle comes from — and it's why people end up taking less than they were quoted.

RDB's is the yard. The phone rings on Fleet Ave, the trucks are Ronnie's, and the person quoting your car is the person handing you the money. Nobody in the middle means nothing to shave off your number.

  • Owner-operated. Ronnie Butcher Jr. answers the phone himself.
  • Licensed Ohio motor-vehicle dismantler. Registered LLC, insured, EPA-compliant dismantling.
  • 4.9★ from 32 Google reviews. BBB A+, and a real address you can drive to.

If the deal's right,
we'll come get it

Plenty of outfits draw a circle on a map and won't cross it. Ronnie doesn't work that way. Parma, Berea, Middleburg Heights, Strongsville, Lakewood — same as Shaker, Maple Heights or Euclid. Out to Medina, Brunswick, Elyria and Lorain when the deal makes sense.

If your town is not listed, we still come. The list below is where the trucks run every week, not a boundary. And if it turns out we're not the right outfit for the job, we'll put you onto someone in our network who is. Nobody gets hung up on.

  • Distance isn't the problem. Tell us where it is and what it is — we'll tell you straight away if we're coming.
  • One number for all of it. Buying, towing, a jump, a flat, a plow. Same phone, same guy.
  • We'd rather refer than hang up. If it's not a job for us, we know who it is a job for.

“In a pinch needing our truck towed, Ronnie came to the rescue. Didn't wait long, the whole process didn't take long, probably less than half hour. Will definitely use services again.”

“Our driver is Mr. Strap King! Vehicle made it to the destination securely without any issues. Very professional, and the time and pricing was very efficient. Driver also arrived with a flatbed so I didn't have to worry about my vehicle being dragged through these 216 streets.”

“Ended up with a flat tire in a parking lot. I called SO many companies before Ronnie was able to assist. He showed up, changed the tire and saw there was a screw in it. He said if I wanted to save the tire he had a shop nearby — drove there and he and his associates fixed it and put the spare back. He saved my butt in a very unfamiliar part of town.”

Straight answers

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the title to sell my car?

Usually, but not always. Ohio lets us buy some vehicles without a title depending on age and condition, and we handle duplicate-title paperwork for free. Call (216) 355-6164 and we'll tell you straight away which applies to you.

How fast can you pick it up?

Same day is the rule, not the exception. Call before 4pm and we can usually get a truck out the same afternoon anywhere in Cuyahoga County. After hours, we come first thing the next morning.

What if the car doesn't run at all?

That's most of what we buy. Blown engine, dropped transmission, flood, fire, collision, sitting eight years with a flat battery — it all still has value in parts and weight. It does not need to start, steer, or roll.

How do you pay?

Cash · Zelle · Venmo · Cash App — your choice, handed over before the car goes on the truck. We never mail a check and we never pay after pickup.

Is towing really free?

Yes, everywhere we serve. Driveway, street, garage, body shop, impound lot, apartment complex. The tow is never deducted from your offer.

Where are you based, and how far do you go?

5010 Fleet Ave, Cleveland, OH 44105, in Slavic Village. From there we run all of Cuyahoga County and out across Northeast Ohio — Parma, Berea, Middleburg Heights, Strongsville, Lakewood, Medina, Lorain, Elyria, the east-side suburbs, all of it. If the deal is right, distance is not the problem. Call (216) 355-6164 and ask about your town.

My town is not on your list. Do you still come?

Yes. The city pages are there so people can find us, not to fence off where we go. If you are anywhere in Northeast Ohio, call (216) 355-6164. And if we genuinely are not the right outfit for your job, we will point you to someone in our network who is — we would rather refer you than leave you stuck.

Is this the same company as other businesses called "Ronnie's"?

No. This is RDB's Towing & Auto — RDB's — at 5010 Fleet Ave, Cleveland, OH 44105, owned by Ronnie Butcher Jr. Several unrelated companies trade as "Ronnie's" in other states, including motorsports dealers and towing companies. None of them are us, and none of their phone numbers reach Ronnie. Our only number is (216) 355-6164 and our only website is ronniebuys.com.

Do you do more than buy junk cars?

Yes. Towing and recovery, roadside assistance — jump starts, lockouts, flat tires, fuel — and snow removal in winter. Call (216) 355-6164 and ask.

Do you buy more than one car at a time?

Yes. Fleet sell-offs, dealer lot cleanouts, insurance write-offs and charity-donation overflow are welcome. Call (216) 355-6164 for volume pricing.

Question not here? Call (216) 355-6164 — the shop picks up.
